Ingredients:

  • 1 cup dried hibiscus flowers
  • 4 cups water
  • 1-2 tablespoons sweetener (agave syrup, maple syrup, or sugar) – optional
  • Fresh mint leaves
  • Lemon slices
  • Ice cubes

Instructions:

  1. Boil water: In a saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
  2. Steep hibiscus flowers: Once boiling, remove from heat and add the dried hibiscus flowers. Let it steep for about 15-20 minutes.
  3. Strain and sweeten: After steeping, strain the mixture into a pitcher, discarding the hibiscus flowers. If you want to sweeten the tea, stir in your desired sweetener while the tea is still warm.
  4. Cool down: Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled.
  5. Serve: Fill glasses with ice cubes, pour the chilled hibiscus tea over the ice, and garnish with fresh mint leaves and lemon slices. Enjoy your refreshing drink!
