Hearty Vegan Bean Burger

Vegan Burger Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 1 can of black beans (drained and rinsed)
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 tbsp ground flaxseeds (mixed with 3 tbsp water, let sit for 5 minutes)
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)
  • Burger buns and your choice of toppings (lettuce, tomato, avocado, etc.)

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mash the black beans with a fork until mostly smooth, leaving some chunks for texture.
  2. Add the oats, chopped onion, garlic, flaxseed mixture, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Form the mixture into burger patties (around 4).
  4. Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5 minutes on each side until they are crispy and browned.
  5. Serve on burger buns with your favorite toppings.
