Vegan Basil Pesto Sauce

Vegan Pesto Sauce Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts (or walnuts)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a food processor, combine the basil leaves, pine nuts, garlic, nutritional yeast, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  2. Pulse until the mixture is finely chopped.
  3. With the food processor running, slowly drizzle in the olive oil until the pesto reaches your desired consistency.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  5. Toss with cooked pasta and serve.
