Vegan Pesto Sauce Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 2 cups fresh basil leaves
- 1/4 cup pine nuts (or walnuts)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- In a food processor, combine the basil leaves, pine nuts, garlic, nutritional yeast, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
- Pulse until the mixture is finely chopped.
- With the food processor running, slowly drizzle in the olive oil until the pesto reaches your desired consistency.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Toss with cooked pasta and serve.
